This policy explains what personal data the BritVibe Organiser app and the BritVibe organiser website collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or delete it.
The BritVibe Organiser app (Android and iOS: com.britvibe.organiser) is a check-in tool for event organisers and their door staff. It scans BritVibe tickets at the venue entrance and shows who has arrived. It is not for the general public. Organiser accounts are created by BritVibe; you cannot sign up in the app.
BritVibe (“we”, “us”, “our”) is based at Jilka Saw Mill, College Road, Dakor – 388225, Gujarat, India. We process personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
1. Information we collect about organisers and staff
| Data | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Organiser name, organisation name, email address, phone number | To set up and manage the organiser account and contact you about events. |
| Password | Stored only as a salted one-way hash to let authorised staff sign in. |
| GSTIN (optional) | To show GST details on tickets and receipts. |
| Razorpay account keys | So ticket payments go straight into your own Razorpay account. A BritVibe administrator enters the keys; the secret key is encrypted when stored. |
| Event details, images, ticket types and promo codes | To publish and sell your events. |
| Check-in activity | Which ticket was scanned or typed, when, and any undo; to admit guests and show live entry numbers. |
| On-device data | A sign-in token in secure storage, to keep door staff signed in. |
What we do not collect. The Organiser app does not collect location, contacts, microphone, photos, analytics or advertising identifiers. It contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
2. Camera and device permissions
- Camera. Used only to read ticket QR codes at the entrance. Camera frames are processed on the device and are never stored, recorded or uploaded. Only the decoded ticket code is sent to our servers to check it is valid. If you decline access, you can check guests in by typing the ticket’s short code.
- Vibration. Used to confirm each scan with a short buzz. No data is involved.
3. Attendee data you can access
To check guests in, the Organiser app shows the name, mobile number, profile photo and ticket status of people who booked your own events. The organiser website also shows their email address and booking details. You cannot see customers of other organisers’ events.
When you access this data, you are responsible for using it only to run your event and meet legal obligations. You must not sell it or use it for unrelated marketing without attendee consent; give access only to staff who need it and sign them out of shared devices after the event; and keep it secure and delete exported copies when no longer needed.
BritVibe’s handling of attendee data is described in the BritVibe Privacy Policy.
4. How we use your information
